Library supports East African Model United Nations

The East African Model United Nations was held from 31st July - 4th August 2006. This program which happens once a year, offers a diverse group of informed participants (especially university students) forum for discussing global concerns in a context that closely parallels the "real world." Students all over East African region (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi) worked feverishly to propose resolutions addressing regional conflicts, peacekeeping, human rights, women and children, economic and social development, and the environment. The EAMUN programs provide students a better understanding of the inner working of the United Nations as they build skills in diplomacy and compromise. The library provided the computer facilities for use by the delegates, who in this period do a lot of research on the various countries they represent. Some of the services the library supports include: Internet Searching, Photocopying, Printing services and where necessary email services.
