The United Nations Environment Programme
(UNEP) through Sergio Vieira De Mello United Nations Library is
supporting the establishment of the library at the Mountains of
the Moon University in Uganda. It has donated books (approximately
2000, mainly UNEP publications) and also a library database to be
used at the library.
The second set of donation will consist of bookshelves and computers
which are planned to be sent by mid-November.
The Library also successfully organized training for the Mountains
of the Moon Librarian in the Month of July, where she was able to
learn more of the operations of the Sergio Vieira De Mello Library.
This support is part of the UNEP's capacity building policy.
